About

Anna Whited, MA, LCMHCA

I love to help people.   As a counselor I understand that everyone is doing their best to make the best of their situation. It is my goal to help my clients feel comfortable sharing their story in a way that brings healing.

While I work with a variety of clients, my specialty is anxiety.  My therapeutic style blends practical solutions and emotional support from a trauma-informed lens.  It's a balance: teaching skills, strategies, and connecting client's with resources and empathizing, validating, and holding hope.

What I've observed about people who struggle with anxiety and panic is they often struggle to find a place to stop, to rest, to open themselves up.  Here is a place for your soul, the unique person you are, to do just that.  Let me clue you in on a little secret, stopping, resting, opening up doesn't end things - it is just the beginning.  I can't wait to help you get started!

Experience

As an undergraduate I worked closely with a ministry pairing broken and abused horses with hurting humans to create a healing environment.  This experience equipped me with not only basic counseling skills but a greater desire to help people through counseling. I went on to pursue a Masters degree in 2020, completing the rigorous program by the end of 2021.  Through this program I worked diligently to develop my counseling skills and treatment framework. This program paved the way for my counseling license in 2022.  Since then, I've spent the past several years serving the client's in my care through a trauma-informed lens and developing a specialty I am passionate about - anxiety.
